Labour and Social Security Law

Since its inception SCA has maintained a strong connection to Labour Law, both individual and collective, and provides legal counselling to human resources departments of Firms, Corporations and Employing Associations of various sectors of the economy and also guarantees its legal support in Labour Courts and the competent authorities of Public Administration.

In the area of legal counselling SCA elaborates contracts, accords and other documents related to contracting workers and also the termination of the respective contracts, provides legal support for disciplinary suits, accompanies labour restructuring of corporations, such as the extinction of positions and collective termination suits.

In representation of its clients SCA accompanies various collective labour contracts and the respective negotiation processes.

In the field of judicial support SCA represents its Clients in all types of legal actions or procedures, namely common suit actions, actions opposing collective termination, common and specific cautionary measures, labour accident and labour litigation suits.

SCA provides legal support to the administrative authorities for collective negotiation processes in conciliation, mediation and arbitration phases, as well as supporting its Clients in labour litigation suits.

In the field of Social Security the Firm has significant experience in the Banking Sector of the social security regimen, accompanying and intervening, in representation of its Clients, in the negotiation of the various instruments of labour collective regulation that regulate that specific social security regimen.

SCA also accompanies and intervenes in restructuring processes for pension funds that assure the payment of benefits relative to the social security regimen of the Banking Sector as well as other complementary benefits.
